The Meazura OEM Kit is the perfect product for established hardware developers. Once hardware developers have integrated a value-added service to the Meazura platform, they can purchase this kit ready for integration of their components. The OEM kit does not feature a complete module and end cap, thereby providing instant access to the MZIO Expansion Bus. Protect your valuable data and programs with HandEra's BackupPro. Using BackupPro, you can backup your data and programs with a single tap of the BACKUP icon. And in case of a device hard rest, you can restore your data and programs with a single tap of the RESTORE icon. On-Board Backup - Using SETUP, you select which databases and programs to backup from a list of all programs and databases on your Meazura RDA. Then when you tap BACKUP, BackupPro copies the selected programs and database from volatile RAM memory to non-volatile Flash memory. When you tap RESTORE , such as after a hard reset or whenever you need to restore your programs and data, BackupPro will copy your backed-up (in Flash memory) programs and data back to RAM memory. Developers and Value Added Resellers - VARs and Palm OS software developers can use BackupPro to protect their software products on the devices they load and deploy. They use BackupPro to provide their customers a one-TAP restore of their critical program and databases in case they experience a hard reset. This support will dramatically reduce the VAR help desk support requirements. Flash Memory APIs - BackupPro also includes a Flash memory software developer kit (SDK) that includes several application Programmer Interfaces (API). Developers can use these APIs to create their own backup and restore tools if the standard BackupPro functions do not meet their needs. Using the Flash APIs, the user application can backup key data files programmatically whenever appropriate for the application, without the handheld operator having to do anything. Use of Flash APIs can dramatically reduce the risk of losing data from battery outages or device hard resets. |
